Notes from Little Sister:
The La Conserva community lot is made up of coffees from more than fifteen small to medium-sized producers from the municipalities of La Democracia, Union Cantinil, San Pedro Necta and San Antonio Huista in the department of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. La Conserva is grown in the 1450 to 1800 masl foothills of the Sierra Madres de Los Cuchumatanes mountain range, which itself reaches up to 3000 masl. La Conserva's producer's have worked to extend their fermentation time to imbue this coffee with the syrupy fruity characteristics of preserves implied in the name. The result is a cup with flavours of caramel, citrus and stone fruit.
