Grown on the slopes of Mt. Rudu, in the highlands of Ethiopia, expect bright citrus tones of Meyer lemon and pink grapefruit in the cup and an intense floral fragrance.

Coffee Story

We are excited to launch another coffee from the Gedeb area close to Ethiopia's famous Yirgacheffe town - Worka Sakaro. This coffee was processed at a family-owned washing station built by Daniel Mijane and his father, which receives coffee from approximately 400 smallholder farmers at an altitude between 2000-2200 masl. Together, they are investing in the sustainability of the surrounding community, helping to build roads, schools nd other vital infrastructure.

Worka Sakaro’s unique profile is strictly connected to the processing method used at the washing station. Daniel has installed an electric stirrer in the fermentation tank that equalizes the temperature during the process, helping to create a uniform and consistent fermentation. After this, the coffee is fully washed and dried on raised beds for 16 days.

Brewing ratio: 1g coffee to 16-17g water / Slurry temperature (coffee+water): 200 - 205 ̊F / 93 - 96 ̊C / Extraction: 20 - 21% / TDS 1.38-1.41%
